English Snails 3 - Last day

They’re in the fridge now, going into hibernation. Come back tomorrow to see me cook them.

    They’re snails .. don’t care. Tomorrow they’ll be in my tummy with a bit of garlic and white wine.

    dear richard are you really going to eat them? ew. but they might be yummy. i got a bunch of lovely swiss chard and yellow globe corgetts with my bi-weekly vegetable box delivery. Do you have any suggestions on what to do with them?

    I guess for the chard you’ll want to make a salad? It depends how bitter the leaves are. If they are the ones which are like spinach, then a quiche?

    No idea about the yellow courgettes. My boss used to grow them in his back garden, so I’ll ask him today. Do they taste any different from ordinary courgettes? The ones he grew were yellow with spikes …

    タニシ seems to be “Whelk” in English? They are very common in England.
