Lady E:

スズムシ is an insect though? All ムシ = insects??

I didn't spot that with his Japanese ... But his Japanese is about my level, so it was quite easy to understand him. I think being English we expect everyone to speak English, mostly because almost everyone does.

Interesting TV programme anyway.

Thanks for introducing this - I really enjoyed the programme except カブトムシ！I think we only keep スズムシ in the house, not any insects!

By the way, his Japanese was interesting - instead of いくら位？he said ぐらい、いくら？　I wish English native speakers had such positive understanding towards our imperfect English! When we don't understand a word, try to explain in other words, not just repeat it slow and loud - I can hear you!!!
