Pancake day!
Pancakes have been eaten in England for at least 500 years, and pancake day (Shrove Tuesday) has been celebrated for at least 400 years (and probably a lot lot longer).

I made myself a savory black pudding pancake for lunch today. Black pudding was the nearest thing to ham in the house. Quite nice actually!

Taste different from a crumpet!
They use dried-yeast instead of baking powder.
