Quite an exciting day. The duck left the nest yesterday evening and we thought that she’d abandoned it. Which would be sensible because it is in a very stupid exposed place. But then this morning she is back on the nest again.
Apparently ducks lay 1 egg per day, and at first the eggs don’t need to be incubated all the time.

Apparently it takes 28 days before the eggs hatch.
