Bathroom 2

The bathroom is vaguely finished, 4 days late (double the original estimate). At least one can now have a bath, although not a shower:

This is what I’m eating at the moment … Reheated curry, peas and bread:

There’s about another 3 days of work to go, if they pull their fingers out (ie. unlikely):

  • finish off the grouting and miscellaneous work in the bathroom (½ day)
  • put up a new ceiling in the kitchen and plaster the downstairs (1+ day, lots of disruption)
  • some electrical work (½ day)
  • new carpets everywhere (1 day, but not really disruptive)

The plan you see above is actually the very first time that anyone has written down a plan for the work.

Even a Brit gets angry at the British job? Sorry, Mate! (that’s what they normally say)

Or is it a Polish job?

It will look brilliantly once it’s done - あとちょっと、がんばって〜!

I think it is pretty good going that they have done so much by this time, i thought

it would take a month to repair all at English builders pace, Cyprus is worse they

have to take little siestas in the afternoon.

  4. M-kun Says:

    (Curry looks gross btw)

  5. rich Says:

The curry tasted better than it looked.

The builders worked late on Monday night so I had to cook for them …

  6. Fumineko Says:

What is that brown thing in the curry…? Another insect in your garden?

Sure it’t better than M’s cat food ;p

    がんばって~

  11. M-kun Says:

    They are ladies fingers (honest).

  12. rich Says:

Yes, M is right. Those are okra also known as “ladies fingers”. This was a bhindi curry.

  13. Fumineko Says:

Oh yes, it is always on Indian curry restaurant menu, I remember that!

My finger isn’t that big, tho.

Talking about curry, today I bunk off the hospital as it’s a fine day and thought it’s ridiculous to be trapped inside all day. Walking around the neighbourhood in pajama & slippers, I found a “soup curry” shop, which is origianlly Hokkaido delicacy. Ahhh-たべたい!

    Are you allowed out?

Shame you don’t have a camera, you could take some pics

I am sure if you were wearing hospital gown, slippers and with wrist tag walking

around the streets, people would take YOUR pic :-p

  15. Fumineko Says:

If only I get a permission, yes, I am allowed but the thing is I just did it without getting it.

I said “pajama” not hospital gown (which is better than your micky moose one!) and no posibility of getting handcuffs because I still have a job and never smoke wacky weed ;p

oops, this is richard’s blog. Anything about cooking??

  20. Fumineko Says:

Cool, Macca was sent to Tokyo Sugamo prison for bloody 9 days in Jan. 1980 as he turned up Narita with TAIMA (大麻) in his suitcase!

And never allowed to entre Japan for a decade since!!

  21. rich Says:

It’s a shame because Japan would be great if they legalized TAIMA

    Is this a TAIMA cookie?
