No no no.
What about MUSHI? 1-piki.
What about flying fish?
What about pterodacyls?
What about ostriches? (They don’t have wings for flying)
What about bats or flying squirrels?
Anyway, long tailed tit = tiny bird = 1-piki.

What about flying mushi? They have wings …

We use “piki” with all insects, a part of fishes, bats and flying squirrels.
We use “tou” with pterodacyls and ostriches.
In Japan, bird’s wings are not regarded as the same as Mushi’s wings.
In English, they are the same word, but in Kanji they are not.
Birds have “Tsubasa”(=wings with feathers), and Mushis have “Hane”(=thin wings).
