Kakizome for 2010

Here is my kakizome for 2010:

2008′s kakizome (水/”water”) worked out. We got plenty of water, of the wrong sort.

2009′s kakizome (金/”money”) worked well too … Now I have no money.

In 2010, either I’ll grow lots of these, or I’ll become a vegetable. Tune in during 2010 to find out …

By the way, thanks for everyone who wished me a happy birthday. However it’s not actually my birthday. It’s just that I put 1/1 in Facebook because of their privacy-sucking policies.

    He is the hard-working god of kakizome. This is a very busy time of year for him, particularly if people change their kakizome.

    But your kanji is very good, they have “味”（an unique flavor).

    I haven’t seen that film, but it seems very interesting.
    If I have time, I’d like to see it.

    Which kind of vegetables will you grow?(Except shiitake!)

    Priority is herbs, since they are so useful.

    But for vegetables, I’d like to try this year: cucumbers, squashes and tomatoes.

    I’ve never heard of “squash” as vegetables. へ～～！！
    Needless to say, I know lemon squash or squash tennis…
    Is it a kind of pumpkins?Sweet?

    Maki: Squashes are a family of vegetables that include things like pumpkins, cucumbers, courgettes, marrows, etc.
