My not-so-new but favourite blog is Cooking Issues, which is the French Culinary Institute‘s tech blog.

Some interesting articles to start with:

Take a crinkle-cut crisp, and cover it with dark chocolate. The simple concept behind Royce’ Potato Chip Chocolate Original (note: apostrophe in the wrong place), or as they say “By breaking down old customs and producing consistently original items, we are pursuing a new level in chocolate enjoyment.”

Unfortunately all the snails in this house are being eaten by our song thrush, faster than I can collect them.

Cooking With Richard blog is two years old today.

As is customary, I have updated the “best of” list, so click here to read my picks from the last year.

Although this is a happy anniversary for the blog, it’s not such a happy time for us. Our house is like a building site at the moment — we barely have a working toilet, no shower, the kitchen has a big hole in the ceiling, and the builders are a bunch of cowboys. We are powerless to do anything about this — any thought at a Labour government might, you know, strengthen laws for tenants have turned out to be laughable (in fact, who will pass these necessary laws? certainly not the Tories).

Hard to believe that 10 years ago we were happy to get rid of a spent and morally bankrupt government ……

… oh wait …

Thanks for RIPA, policy laundering, data retention (previously), section 44, collaboration with that oh so “special” relationship, indefinite detention without trial, ignorance and stupidity, bribes, …
