Our crazy driving holiday around Scotland is now over. I drove 1,104 miles. Here are some photos:

Home of the worst pub on Arran …

The Array Whisky distillery, home of some rather pleasant spirits.

It’s my bro’s moggie:

One of the best bands of the ’90s, live at the Bull and Gate, Saturday 10th May 2008:
Apparently I’m not allowed to play my favourite band, The Cardiacs in my own home!
Here are some music videos for you to enjoy anyway:
Strange video of “to go off and things”:
Smith looks a bit like Suggs, and Domo-kun makes an early appearance, in this video:
Slightly more mainstream cover of a Kinks song (better than the original I think):
And Cardiacs live:
For the past three years I’ve been taking part in the Summer Burn. Once you join you get two friends assigned, and you have to send them each a mix CD of your favorite summer songs. They send CDs back to you.
Because I’m the laziest person in the world, I still have my summer burn CDs here, while my two friends have already sent me theirs:

One of them is alt.country-tastic, not precisely my cup of tea. The other was pretty good for the first half, but I haven’t got around to listening to the other half.
I’m sure they won’t like mine.
Three of my CDs shown in the photo above, because one is for the salon.
We seem to be all competing on packaging, rather than music. Look at this flickr group and weep:

Our dear friends Matthew and Brian in the band GILBERT played their first ever live gig at the Purple Turtle in Camden last night, which was most excellent.

The boys back together:

Who is this sexy lady?
